Farm Activities

As Mt Binga is a working farm, there are jobs that need to be completed to ensure the camp can keep running. These jobs help students in their understanding of ‘paddock to plate’ and the time, effort and environmental impact that goes in to producing food. It gives students a greater appreciation for the worth of food. During the camp students may find themselves feeding horses, ducks, alpacas, chickens and calves, milking cows, collecting eggs, picking produce from the hobby farms, vegetable gardens or the hydroponic or aquaponic systems.
